Hi there, Karen. Welcome back to planDisney!
I’m delighted to see you’re heading to the
Happiest Place on Earth in October. You’ll be visiting when
Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort is in full force. I love that time of the year with all the gourd-geous pumpkins and ghoulish decorations sprinkled throughout the parks. It is also pretty fun seeing beloved Disney characters dressed in their festive Halloween costumes!
There are many perks when staying at one of the three
Disneyland Resort hotels. In addition to being in closer proximity to where the magic is, you’ll also enjoy early entry to one of the theme parks before regular park opening. While the charge-to-room option CAN be a dangerous feature to have, it’s a convenient way to pay through the
Disneyland app.
Unfortunately, staying at a Disneyland Resort hotel does not provide Guests the opportunity to make
dining reservations more than 60 days in advance. You may have seen or read about this benefit when staying onsite at Walt Disney World Resort where Guests can make dining reservations for their entire length of stay (up to a 10-night stay) starting 60 days in advance. I love this benefit whenever our family visits Walt Disney World Resort and wish this policy would someday (somehow) carry over to the Disneyland Resort. You'll need to book each day's dining reservation during your stay 60 days in advance.
On a happy note, though, hotel guests have
preferred access to a limited number of reservations to dine at select table-service restaurants at the Disneyland Resort hotels during their stay. So go ahead and book your late-night libations at
Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar or a fun breakfast at
Goofy’s Kitchen.
If you have more trip-planning questions, please don’t hesitate to stop by
planDisney again!
Have a magical day,
Kiki
