Hi, Akeyla! Welcome to planDisney.
One of the most magical things about Walt Disney World is that it doesn’t just
tell a story, it invites you
into the story. Whether you're stepping into
a galaxy far, far away or wandering through
Pandora – The World of Avatar, the parks are designed to make every Guest feel like part of the adventure. It's no wonder so many of us want to dress the part!
As for the
costume policy, the general rule is that Guests 14 and older aren’t permitted to wear full costumes, regardless of how closely they resemble the character—skin tone doesn’t change the policy. The rule is really about safety and keeping the experience clear for other Guests, especially since official Disney Cast Members are the only ones allowed to fully portray characters in the parks.
That said, there’s a wonderful exception! During
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, Guests of all ages are welcome to dress up in costume. It’s such a fun and festive way to enjoy the evening! Just be sure to check the party-specific costume guidelines, and you’ll be all set to join the celebration in style.
I hope that's clarifying, Akeyla. Thanks for choosing to be our Guest.
Mike
