If I have a reservation for 5:50 at Chef Art Smith and plan to take the boats from Disney French Quarters on a Sunday evening, what time should we leave to head to Disney Springs Thank you for your help

Welcome back to planDisney, Donna! I'm so glad to be able to answer a question for you about your upcoming trip next month. Floating down the Sassagoula to Disney Springs to enjoy a comfort food feast at Chef Art Smith's Homecomin' feels like peak Disney vibes to me. Let's chat about how to make transportation work for you on this fun evening you've got planned.

If I were planning this journey, I'd get in line for the boat around 4:30 PM. That gives you a comfy cushion for Sunday evening crowds, a possible wait for the next boat, and the ride itself. With a 4:30 arrival at the dock, you're building in a buffer for any small delays, and you'll still roll into Disney Springs with time to spare before your 5:50 PM reservation.

On a smooth night, you might find yourself at the Marketplace dock with a bit of extra time to spare, which is perfect for a quick stroll and a bit of browsing in the shops. When you're ready, it's an easy 10 to 15-minute walk to Homecomin' in The Landing. If you arrive even earlier than expected, you can always check in on the My Disney Experience app or in person and see if they're seating a touch ahead of your reservation time.

If the weather is looking stormy on the night of your reservation, lightning can pause boat service, so pivot to the Disney Springs bus from your resort instead. Because Sunday evenings can be lively, give yourself that extra wiggle room and keep things stress-free by arriving at your chosen transportation at around 4:30.

    Have a magical day, Donna!
