Cheerio, Kristy! It's fantastic to see you back at planDisney. Your upcoming
Walt Disney World Resort visit will be here in just a couple of sleeps! I hope you've packed your carpetbag. Let's look at parking options during your dining reservation at
1900 Park Fare.
I chatted with a spit-spot Cast Member who said guests with valid dining reservations can typically
park at a resort for around three hours. He added that you might not be allowed to park if you arrive too early and suggested you arrive about 30 minutes before your reservation time. Then you can enjoy your dinner at a leisurely pace and still have time to enjoy the shops and sights at this remarkable resort afterward.
At
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, you'll show the gate attendant your reservation details and probably be directed to a parking lot across the street from the resort. It's an easy walk; my friends and I had brunch at the Grand Floridian Cafe recently, and that's where we parked. There's often a shuttle running between that lot and the resort, but we found the stroll quick and easy.
I want to clarify that parking at the Grand Floridian is reserved for guests staying at the resort or dining there, and is not intended for theme park guests. If you plan to head to
Magic Kingdom Park before or after dinner, I recommend the Transportation and Ticket Center. You can park there, take the
monorail to Magic Kingdom, and then on to the Grand Floridian. The monorail is my favorite mode of transportation at Walt Disney World!
I hope you try the iconic
Grand Floridian Strawberry Soup while you dine at 1900 Park Fare. I haven't had it since the reopening, but I can still remember how delicious it was. You know what they say: A spoonful of sugar!
Kristy, I hope your visit is practically perfect! If you see a talking umbrella, wish it a good day for me. Please stop by
planDisney anytime!
Magic awaits,
Elaine
