Disney's Port Orleans Resort- Riverside is my absolute favorite Disney resort. I just love the atmosphere and vibe that this resort offers.
At Port Orleans Riverside, the resort is divided into two themed areas, Magnolia Bend and Alligator Bayou, and not all of the standard rooms are 5th sleepers. In Alligator Bayou, most of the standard rooms do include that extra pull-down 5th sleeper bed, especially since this section is designed with a more rustic, family-friendly layout.
However, not every standard room in the entire resort is a 5th sleeper. If you’d prefer a room without the extra bed, you might end up placed in Magnolia Bend, which has a slightly more elegant theme.
If you prefer to be in Alligator Bayou, you can always add a room request note that you’d like to stay in this section, but do not need a 5th sleeper, and the room assigners will do their best to accommodate it. I would also suggest
calling and speaking with a Cast Member to make sure that your request has made it to your reservation. They can double-check for it and add it if it's not found.
They’re great about honoring room preferences when availability allows. Either way, Port Orleans Riverside is such a peaceful, charming resort, and I know you’ll love the atmosphere, especially along the Sassagoula River and how close you are to
Disney Springs.
