It’s always such a treat to see a familiar name here—and speaking of treats, you’ve picked one of my absolute favorite restaurants at the Disneyland Resort! I actually enjoyed Mickey’s Autumn Adventures Breakfast Buffet at
Storytellers Cafe just this past weekend, and let me tell you, the pumpkin bread pudding was out-of-this-world!
The great news is that you may be able to add an extra Guest to your reservation right in the
Disneyland mobile app—no phone call required! Just open the app, tap the menu (☰) button, and select “Future Plans.” You should see your Storytellers Cafe reservation there. Next, tap on the reservation and choose “Modify.” If the booking allows changes, you’ll see a “Party Size” section with an “Edit” button. Tap that, adjust your total number of Guests, re-confirm the date and time, and follow the prompts to update your reservation.
If you don’t see the option to modify, you still have a couple of simple ways to make that happen. You can
call the Disneyland Resort directly to speak with a friendly Cast Member, or use the chat feature in the Disneyland app by tapping the menu (☰) button, scrolling to the bottom, and selecting “Chat with Us.”
And here’s a little tip I’ve learned from experience: when you check in for your reservation (either through the app or in person), many restaurants can often accommodate small changes to party size at that time. Just let the Cast Member know you’d like to add one more Guest, and they’ll do their best to make some magic happen if space allows. If you’re checking in via the app, I’ve also sometimes noticed the option to adjust the party size during the digital check-in process.
Last but not least, Carly: While you’re at Storytellers Cafe, take a moment to explore the
Grand Californian Hotel & Spa’s breathtaking lobby. Right in the heart of it, you’ll find the Great Hall Cart, which offers an ever-changing selection of seasonal treats and beverages. In years past, the coveted Mickey-shaped gingerbread cookies have often made a special appearance here—and they tend to go quickly! You might also spot a few delightful goodies that can’t be found anywhere else in the resort, making it the perfect sweet finale to your Storytellers Café experience.
