Hi there, Christy! Welcome to planDisney! How exciting that you have a stay planned at
Pixar Place Hotel! Since you’re already booking dining reservations, that means your trip is just around the corner! I bet you can already imagine the colorful details and playful touches waiting to welcome you.
Dining reservations at the Disneyland Resort work a little differently than they do at Walt Disney World Resort. In Florida, Guests with a hotel stay can book their dining for the entire trip (up to a 10-night stay) once their window opens. At Disneyland Resort, however,
dining reservations open on a rolling basis, typically 60 days in advance. That means when your booking window opens, you’ll see availability for the first day of your visit—and then each following day will open one at a time, as you count down to your magical arrival. So rest assured, Christy—what you’re seeing is perfectly normal for Disneyland Resort, and it just means you’ll get to enjoy a little extra anticipation as each day of your trip becomes available.
The fun part is deciding where to dine, and you’re visiting during the
Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration—which means you’ve got some truly delicious options to look forward to. The
Foodie Guide over on the Disney Parks Blog has revealed so many tempting eats! At
Bengal Barbecue, the Grilled Tahitian Ribs with rice and pineapple slaw offer a quick but satisfying savory bite. Over at
Troubadour Tavern, the W.E.D. Chili Cheese Baked Potato—pile on the chili, cheese, sour cream, and cornbread—makes for an indulgent and hearty meal. For a classic sit-down meal with a celebratory flair,
Carnation Café is serving Beef Stroganoff, perfect for comfort-food fans. To round out your meal, don’t miss the 70th Celebration Cake at
Plaza Inn—a beautiful confection perfect for a sweet finish.
Of course, you’ll also find unforgettable table-service experiences to anchor your trip.
Lamplight Lounge at Disney California Adventure Park is a favorite with Pixar-inspired eats and waterfront views. At Disneyland Park,
Blue Bayou Restaurant offers an enchanting setting right inside the
Pirates of the Caribbean attraction—perfect for a special evening. And if you’re looking for character dining, don’t miss
Goofy’s Kitchen at the Disneyland Hotel or Mickey’s Autumn Adventures Breakfast Buffet at
Storytellers Cafe in Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa.
Christy, your countdown is almost over, and soon you’ll be gathering around the table and savoring both classic favorites and celebratory flavors. Here’s wishing you a visit that’s every bit as flavorful and magical as the memories you’re about to make.
See ya real soon!
