Howdy Karen!
Welcome to planDisney. Thanks for riding by with your question today.
The Campsites at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort offer the magic of the great outdoors by invoking the timeless beauty of the American frontier. You might even see small woodland animals such as deer, rabbits, ducks, and armadillos roaming the area.
I’m happy to report that bikes are absolutely allowed and even encouraged at the campgrounds. If you bring your own bike, I would highly recommend bringing a lock and or something to identify your bike, like a ribbon, as many bikes look similar. Please note that only manually powered bikes are allowed; no e-bikes or electric-assisted bikes. For safety, please ensure your bike has front and rear lights if you plan to bike after dusk. Florida law also requires riders under the age of 16 to wear a helmet. If you prefer to leave your bike at home, you can find
Bike Rentals available at the campgrounds as well. My fellow panelist
Sean rented a
Surrey Bike for his family of 4 during one of his recent trips to Walt Disney World, and they had the best time biking together.
While you’re at the campgrounds, I would recommend attending
Chip ’n’ Dale’s Campfire Sing-A-Long. You can join our nutty pals for a campfire celebration with s’mores and singing some of your favorite songs together. After that, you can cozy up for a classic Disney movie in a theater under the stars to end the night. It’s a magical evening that you won’t want to miss.
Karen, I hope you and your family have a magnificent time biking around The Campgrounds at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort. If you have any further questions, please pedal back, and my fellow panelists and I will be happy to assist you.
See ya real soon,
Robert
