Ahoy there, Ayrieka, and thanks for stopping by planDisney. You’re asking a great question about Ground Transportation, so let’s think this through together.
There’s nothing harder for me than Debarkation Day of my Disney Cruise. I never want the fun to end! You can absolutely
book Ground Transportation through Disney Cruise Line to the airport, but since Guests are typically off the ship by about 9:30 AM, you’re right, there would still be a good chunk of time between when you arrive at the airport and your departing flight.
Depending on which port you’re sailing out of will have a lot to do with the options available to you. That being said, did you know you can book
Port Adventures for both Embarkation and Debarkation Days? For instance, I love sailing out of Port Everglades, both because of its proximity to the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL), but also because of all the great restaurants and tourist attractions in
Fort Lauderdale, like Riverwalk and Las Olas Boulevard.
On the other hand, if you’re sailing out of Port Canaveral, you’ll be just minutes away from Cape Canaveral and the Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge. The Orlando International Airport also plays host to a variety of shops and restaurants, including a Disney Store with several Instagram-worthy backdrops and character statues.
I hope this gives you just a bit of inspiration for what you could schedule before your departing flight. And if you still need to book your Ground Transportation or have additional questions, don’t hesitate to
call a helpful Disney Cruise Line Cast Member. Of course, we’ll be here at planDisney if you come up with any other questions before your sailing.
Bon voyage,
Sami
