Ahoy, Velina! Welcome to planDisney and thanks for bringing us your Disney Cruise Line question. Although I love setting sail for any length of time, I know that it can be hard to fit everything that you want to do onboard when you book a shorter itinerary. Let me give you as much information as I can to help you figure out your options for booking dinner at
Palo Steakhouse.
Rotational dining is Disney Cruise Line’s way of making sure that guests get to experience all three of the main themed dining rooms on board, which each feature their own menu and immersive experience. On the
Disney Wish, you have the opportunity to take in the golden age of animation in 1923, celebrate the royal engagement at Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Adventure, and see Pym Technology on display in Worlds of Marvel. Since you will be on a 3-night sailing, you only have one chance to experience each of the three restaurants during your sailing. Unfortunately, you will not know what your particular dining room rotation is until you are able to connect to the ship’s wi-fi at the port on embarkation day and see your dining information within the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App. The only exception to that is if you are sailing concierge, in which case the concierge staff may be able to assist you with your preferred dining rotation prior to setting sail.
What I can tell you about your itinerary right now is that Pirate Night is currently scheduled for Day 2 of your sailing. If you don’t want to miss out on any of the Pirate Night activities, then you may want to avoid making your Palo Steakhouse reservation for that night, just so you can avoid feeling rushed to get to any of the exclusive events only offered that night. However, if you are looking for a quieter and more romantic experience, then it may be the perfect night for you to enjoy the adults-only atmosphere inspired by Cogsworth from
Beauty and the Beast and leave the plundering to the pirates partying in other areas of the ship.
I know that does not give you a lot of information to go off of, but remember that Palo Steakhouse reservations are very limited and you may need to just select the day and time that has availability when your
advance booking window opens. If dining at Palo Steakhouse is a must-do experience for you and your sailing party, then focus on just securing a reservation first. Once you can see your dining schedule on embarkation day, then you can decide if your reservation interferes with a rotational dining experience that you do not want to miss. By then you will already be onboard and can speak with
Guest Services about your dilemma. Although there are certainly no guarantees, they may be able to assist you by either making a change to your dining rotation or seeing if they can accommodate your party at Palo Steakhouse on a different night of the sailing.
I’m sending all the pixie dust your way to get the perfect reservation. If you have any other questions before you set sail in July, then feel free to reach back out to us here at planDisney. Happy sailing!
