Hi again, Jeannie! It's so great to see your name pop back up here at
planDisney! I love that you’re already dreaming about a little manicure magic, so let’s talk all things nails.
Senses Spa and Salon typically offers classic manicure services, including favorites like the Fire and Ice manicure. However, gel manicures are not always available fleet-wide, and offerings can vary by ship and sailing. Because the online descriptions keep things fairly general, the best way to confirm what is available on your specific cruise is to stop by the spa in person once you board and chat directly with one of the spa hosts or nail technicians.
As for gel or dip removal, this is where I recommend taking things into your own hands. From my experience and from guidance shared with me by Disney Cruise Line representatives in the past, it is best to have those types of nails removed before you sail. Even if removal is possible onboard, it can take a significant amount of time and may come with an added charge, which can cut into the relaxing portion of your manicure. That time is usually much better spent enjoying all the pampering touches Disney does so well.
Another reason to drop by Senses Spa on embarkation day is to check for any specials, especially on port days. It is a wonderful way to unwind before dinner and the incredible live shows you'll see in the Walt Disney Theatre. And of course, be sure to download the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app before you sail so you can book spa appointments online and keep track of everything happening onboard.
I hope this helps you plan the perfect spa moment at sea, Jeannie. If any other questions arise before your trip on the
Disney Wonder, you know where to find us!
Bon voyage,
Sami
