How do I share dinner and show reservations with others in my party?

Heya, hiya, Bridget! I’m so glad you brought your question to planDisney! Can you feel the excitement in the air? Your visit to The Happiest Place on Earth is just a couple of sleeps away! I'm so thrilled for you.

You've asked a really great question. It sounds like you're all set for some amazing experiences, perhaps with a dining package for a spectacular show like Fantasmic! or the dazzling Paint the Night parade! While the Disneyland mobile app doesn't currently have a feature to formally share those plans, there's a simple solution that works like a charm. As long as you've included the correct number of Guests in your party when making the reservations, you are all set. To keep everyone in the loop, I recommend taking a screenshot of your itinerary. You can find everything neatly organized by tapping the menu button (☰) in your Disneyland app, followed by “Today’s Plans”, and then selecting the "My Day" tab.

And, since you're so wonderfully organized, let's make sure you've “rubbed the lamp” on one of the most helpful features in the app: the complimentary Disney Genie Service. Simply tell Genie your wishes for the day—your must-do rides, shows, and character experiences. In a flash, it will grant you a personalized itinerary that updates throughout the day, helping you navigate the park and get the most out of every magical moment. It even plans around existing dining reservations! You can access Genie by tapping the menu button (☰), selecting “Today’s Plans”, and locating the “Get Started Now” button in the planning section.

Since you also mentioned shows, Bridget, I want to share another pro tip. You might be able to get reserved viewing for World of Color Happiness! at Disney California Adventure Park by joining the complimentary virtual queue. On the day of your visit, check the Disneyland app to see if the virtual queue is in use. If it is, you'll have an opportunity to join it at 12:00 PM PDT. If you snag a spot, you'll be assigned a group color and a designated viewing area for the show. I’ve done this a couple of times myself, and I’ve always had a great view of the action!

With all of this wonderful planning you'll be doing in the Disneyland mobile app—from checking your Genie itinerary to joining virtual queues—your phone will be working as hard as Cinderella's mice! I highly recommend bringing a fully charged portable power bank with you to keep your battery in the green. If you forget one or need a backup, you can always purchase one from any of the portable charging service kiosks located throughout the resort.

I’m so delighted for you, Bridget! I hope these extra little tips help you and your party have the most seamless and spectacular adventure. A visit to the Disneyland Resort is always special, and I'm so excited that yours is finally here. Wishing you a trip that is overflowing with laughter, magic, and cherished memories.
