Can I get on the skylines from Epcot if I take the monorail to Epcot but not have a ticket for Epcot? I’m wondering if it’s possible to get off the monorail and walk around to the back where the skyliner is without going through the park

Hey There, Hi There, Ho There, Alisa!

Welcome to planDisney! We are DELIGHTED you stopped by and are ready to help you plan your enchanting trip to Disney World! Get ready to step into a place where dreams come alive, fireworks sparkle overhead, and every corner is sprinkled with pixie dust. From thrilling attractions to Mickey-shaped treats, MAGIC is waiting around every turn. Let the countdown begin because soon you will be making memories that will last a lifetime!

This is such a great question, and I love the way you are already thinking about how to weave a little extra awesomeness into your Disney transportation adventure! The Disney Skyliner is such a fun way to travel because it feels almost like an attraction itself, gliding through the sky with incredible views of the resorts and parks. Now, here’s where the pixie dust meets the practical...

When you take the Monorail to EPCOT, it brings you right to the front entrance of the park. To reach the Skyliner, however, you would need to be at the International Gateway entrance, which is located at the very back of EPCOT near World Showcase. The only way to walk from the Monorail station to the International Gateway is by going through EPCOT, which requires a valid park admission.

Now, I do have a possible alternative for you. If you are staying at a Disney Resort, you could simply take a Disney bus from any resort directly to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, where you’ll find a Skyliner station right outside the park gates. This way, you don’t need park admission at all. You can hop off the bus, walk a few steps, and board your gondola for a breezy ride through the sky. From Hollywood Studios, you can travel to Caribbean Beach Resort (the central Skyliner hub) and then connect to EPCOT’s International Gateway.

Even though the Monorail-to-Skyliner “shortcut” isn’t possible without entering EPCOT, you can still enjoy both AH-mazing modes of transportation on the same day—it just takes a slightly different route. If you have other questions, please do not hesitate to ask. We are here to help in any way we can!

    Have a MAGICAL day!
