Hi Kristin,
Welcome to planDisney! On opening day, Walt Disney said, “To all who come to this happy place: Welcome. Disneyland is your land.” What’s the best way to make Disneyland your land? By studying the map, of course! When you know the layout ahead of time, you’ll feel confident and ready to embark on your magical adventure the moment you arrive.
Unfortunately, Disney is unable to mail Guests a paper map. However, I have good news:
printable park maps are available for both Disneyland and California Adventure. These downloadable PDFs are perfect for printing at home and are great tools for getting familiar with the layout of each park.
You can also access
park maps online and in the
Disneyland mobile app. If you’re browsing online, head to the “Things to Do” tab and scroll down to “Activities and Entertainment.” There, you’ll find maps for Disneyland, California Adventure, the Downtown Disney District, and the three on-site resorts: the Disneyland Hotel, Grand Californian, and Pixar Place Hotel. Click “Expand Map” in the top right corner for a full-screen, interactive version; super handy for planning!
If you’re traveling with little ones, you may want to pick up a
Family Adventure Map. This special map is designed for families with young children and highlights kid-friendly dining, ride expectations, and companion restroom locations. My little one is four, and during our last visit, she loved using the Family Adventure Map to find characters throughout the park. It kept her engaged while we waited for food or walked from ride to ride! These maps are usually available at the map kiosks near the park entrance. If you don’t see them, ask a Cast Member at a Guest Services booth; they’re always happy to help.
I hope this information helps, Kristin! If you have any other questions or need extra planning tips, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me or any of my fellow planDisney panelists. We’re always happy to sprinkle a little extra pixie dust on your Disney planning.
Best of luck!
