Greetings, Joe, and welcome to planDisney!
Plank you for stopping by with your question!
First of all, let me just say that when I go to Walt Disney World, the only thing I'm lifting is a DOLE Whip to my mouth! That being said, I truly admire your dedication. It's awesome that you want to stay strong like Luisa, even on vacation!
As you already know, neither
Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside nor
Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter offers its own gym. And unfortunately, amenities at
Disney Resorts Collection hotels are intended for registered hotel guests only. I know this isn't the answer you were hoping to hear, but don't give up hope! This just means we'll have to find another way for you to
go the distance! As Phil would tell you, "Giving up is for rookies!"
Joe, Disney World resorts offer
lots of amenities and benefits, but you'll typically only find gyms at
deluxe resort hotels. The one exception to this is
Disney's Coronado Springs Resort, which is home to the
La Vida Health Club Fitness Center. I know you're just a few weeks from your stay, but if fitness is a priority, it might be worth calling the
Disney Resort Hotel Reservations line to see if switching resorts is an option.
Now, if you can't (or don't want to) switch your Disney resort, there is still a way to burn some calories at Port Orleans - Riverside and Port Orleans - French Quarter. These sprawling resorts offer beautiful grounds and
meandering trails that are perfect for a morning run! In my experience, mornings in March tend to be cool and pleasant - the ideal time for a jog along the glittering Sassagoula River!
I hope this information is helpful, Joe, and that you enjoy every moment of your upcoming Disney vacation! If you have any other planning questions, you know
where to find me right here at planDisney!
See ya real soon,
Allison
