So if I want to spend a day in Magic Kingdom because of a small child 4 years old who's never been there but I also want to see the Disney Halloween parade I have to pay twice for Magic Kingdom?

Hey There, Hi There, Ho There, Linda!

Welcome to planDisney! We are DELIGHTED you stopped by and are honored to help you plan your upcoming trip to Disney World! Get ready for days filled with MAGICAL moments, unforgettable memories, and plenty of pixie dust along the way. From the first time you stroll down Main Street, U.S.A., to the last fireworks bursting above Cinderella Castle, every moment will feel like a dream come true. This is going to be a vacation packed with joy, wonder, and pure Disney FUN!

What a great question! I want to let you know that Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is a separate, specially ticketed event, so you would need a regular Magic Kingdom ticket if you want to spend the whole day in the park and a party ticket for an evening of SPOOK-tacular fun. But here is the pixie-dusted part...the party itself is unlike anything else Disney offers! You’ll get to trick-or-treat through the park, meet exclusive characters (sometimes in rare costumes!), experience a Halloween-themed fireworks show, AND be blown away by the spectacular Boo-to-You Parade that little ones absolutely adore. Magic Kingdom truly transforms into a glowing, not-so-scary wonderland. The crowds are lighter, the lines for attractions are usually shorter, and you can soak up a totally different side of Disney enchantment that’s only available on those party nights. Think of it as two unique experiences—the classic Magic Kingdom day your 4-year-old will remember forever and a once-a-year, limited-time celebration full of Halloween memories. It’s truly worth every pumpkin-spiced penny!

I will say that spending the entire day at Magic Kingdom and then rolling right into Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party can be a lot of excitement (and miles of walking) for little legs. What you might want to do is plan a resort day where you can enjoy the pool, take a nap, and recharge before heading to the party when the gates open at 4:00 p.m. This way, your little one still gets to experience the awesomeness of Magic Kingdom, plus all the extra Halloween fun, without getting overtired. It keeps the day balanced, fun, and memorable for both the grown-ups and the kids!

If you have other questions, please do not hesitate to ask. We are here to help in any way we can!

    Have a BOO-ti-ful day!
