Bonjour!
Welcome to planDisney, Olivia! Thank you for visiting us with your question today, all about your upcoming holiday to
Disneyland Paris, which is now less than a month away. How exciting! If you are anything like me, your suitcases are already packed, and you’ll
be walking right down the middle of Main Street, U.S.A., before you know it!
Disney Tales of Magic, the nighttime spectacular at
Disneyland Park, debuted earlier this year and features some truly amazing effects. It is so much more than a fireworks show, with
Sleeping Beauty Castle illuminated by the magic of Disney stories, dancing water, bursts of fire, and drones lighting up the night sky – there’s so much to take in! And it’s not just Sleeping Beauty Castle that’s part of the show – the buildings lining Main Street, U.S.A., also come alive with animated Disney projections.
Guests booking a
Hotel + Ticket Package directly with Disneyland Paris have the option to
reserve preferred viewing for this show, along with other shows across the resort – just one of the many benefits of booking directly. You can add preferred viewing either when you book your package or afterwards via the website. If you booked directly and can’t see the option to add it online, I recommend reaching out to a helpful Cast Member via the online chat or by
giving them a call.
If your Hotel + Ticket Package was booked through a third party, including
Walt Disney Travel Company International, you’ll be eligible to make a reservation for preferred viewing seven days before your arrival using the Disneyland Paris app. I checked today, and at the time of writing, there is currently availability each night for the five days following your arrival date if you’re eligible; however, this can change at any time, as it’s a very popular experience.
Olivia, I’ve enjoyed Disney Tales of Magic, as well as the nighttime spectaculars that came before it, and more often than not I haven’t opted for preferred viewing – and I’ve still had a brilliant view of the show. I actually really enjoyed watching from a little further back so I could take in the projections along Main Street, U.S.A., too. If you’re not using preferred viewing, I recommend finding your spot about an hour before showtime – the perfect opportunity to enjoy a coffee while soaking up the sights and sounds in front of the Castle, if you ask me!
I hope this helps to answer your question today, Olivia, and that you have the BEST time holidaying at my favourite destination in Europe! If you have any further questions as you finalise your plans,
please reach out to me. I’d love to help.
See you on Main Street, Paris!
Matt
