Staying at the Doubletree but are disappointed at their shuttle service, once an hour? Can you suggest alternate methods of getting to the parks? The stickler is there nare 3 little ones in our party of 8.

    Hi Jules! Welcome to planDisney!

I'm excited to hear about your upcoming visit to the Walt Disney World Resort! With less than a month until you arrive, I'm sure you are eager to begin experiencing the magic of the theme parks!

If you're staying at the DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Orlando, which is located in the Disney Springs area, you will be within walking distance of Disney Springs. This perk provides you with countless dining locations to check out and plenty of shopping options to explore.

I understand the disappointment with their current shuttle service. Hotels outside of the Disney Resorts Collection offer different types of transportation to and from the parks, which is typically not as frequent as staying on-site. Other options available to you will be to utilize a ride-share service. I believe some options include car seats for little ones, although this may be a separate request when booking your ride. Ride-share services will drop you off at each of the theme parks, except for the Magic Kingdom, where you will be dropped off at the Ticket and Transportation Center. From there, you'll need to hop on the ferry or monorail to get to the entrance of the park.

You may be able to contact a private transportation company to see if you can schedule rides to and from the parks each day. These services will typically offer accommodations for little ones. The downside to this option may be the flexibility with the time you plan to head to the parks each day. If you need to schedule pick-up times in advance, you may be tied to a strict schedule.

If you want to walk over to Disney Springs, you can utilize the Minnie Van Service from this location. Using the Lyft app, you can order a Minnie Van that will take you anywhere across the Walt Disney World Resort. It will not pick you up or drop you off at your hotel, but it will be an option once you arrive at Disney Springs.

Jules, I hope you have a magical time during your stay! Stop back and see us again at planDisney!
