We’ll be staying at the Grand Californian during upcoming Disneyland trip. We have tickets to Oogie Boogie Bash on October 9th, but don’t have park tickets for that day. Can we enter DCA from the hotel at 3:00, or do we have to go through the Main Gate?

Hey there, hi there, Doyle! Welcome to planDisney. We are so glad you stopped by to ask us your question.

Oh! I am so excited to hear you will be enjoying a stay at the Grand Californian next month! I just love the ambiance of the lobby area, and The GCH Craftsman Bar is one of my favorite places to escape for some delicious bites on a park day, and it's right there next to the entrance into California Adventure Park. If you are staying at the Grand Californian, you should be able to enter the park during the mix-in time for Oogie Boogie Bash. This could always change, but yesterday I was in the parks and exited the park at the Grand Californian turnstiles, and they did have Cast Members there with wristbands and treat bags ready for Oogie Boogie Bash Guests. There will also be specific lines just for Oogie Boogie Bash Guests at the main gate of the park.

My top tip for Oogie Boogie Bash is to prioritize dinner during the mix-in time. Mobile ordering and food lines can get backed up during the event, and you don't want to be wasting time doing either when there is so much else to do during the bash! I also recommend going in with a plan of what is more important to you, you'd be surprised how quickly the time flies when you are having so much fun.

Doyle, thanks so much for stopping by! May your visit be spooky!
