Greetings, Elizabeth! Thanks for visiting planDisney. I'm glad you've stopped by on your way to visit the
Happiest Place on Earth.
I spoke with Cast Member Shleby Lynn today, who directed me to the
list of prohibited items at the Disneyland Resort. The information there is a bit murky about whether wheeled bags will be allowed. First, there is a rule against bringing "bags, coolers, or backpacks, with or without wheels, larger than 24" long x 15" wide x 18" high" into either of the theme parks. Additionally, recreational devices (shoes, drones, etc.) with wheels are also prohibited. Lastly, trailer-like objects that are pushed, pulled, or towed by a wheelchair, stroller, or person are also not allowed. Shelby Lynn indicated that the final call on whether a bag on wheels would be allowed would be the Security Cast Member, and that you might need to be prepared to return it to your car in case it is not. Sorry, I couldn't provide a more definite answer for you, Elizabeth!
In case you aren't able to bring a bag on wheels, there are locker rentals available inside both theme parks and outside each park entry.
Locker rentals are nice because they provide in-and-out privileges for the whole day and come in multiple sizes. I like using one to store bulkier items (like jackets), and then returning throughout the day to place any souvenirs I bought.
Elizabeth, you are visiting during my favorite time of the year!
Holidays at the Disneyland Resort are the very best, with characters in cozy and festive attire, holiday decor, and amazing seasonal entertainment. The
