Ahoy there, Ju'Keysha, and welcome to planDisney! You’ve picked one of my absolute favorite times of year to set sail from my
favorite departure port (thanks to its quick and easy access to the airport), so let’s go the distance to find an answer to your question.
A
Very Merrytime Cruise on the
Disney Dream will be pure holiday magic. For your December 15–19 voyage, you’re in for a festive lineup of themed nights. From what I could uncover, it looks like Night 2, after your day at Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point, you'll celebrate Mickey & Minnie’s Holiday Party. Attire for that night (as well as for dinner on embarkation day) is set as Cruise Casual, so feel free to flex your favorite vacation styles.
Night 3 brings
Pirate Night after Castaway Cay, complete with fireworks to light up the sky (weather-permitting) after the
Deck Party. Keep an eye out for a red bandana on your stateroom bed before dinner to incorporate into your pirate garb for that night, should you choose to dress up with your fellow scalawags onboard. And then on your final day at sea, you’ll enjoy an optional dress-up night, perfect for adding a dash of holiday sparkle.
Since it is a Very Merrytime sailing, one of my favorite tips is to pack some coordinating family holiday pajamas. Many Guests love snapping a photo beneath the grand holiday tree in the atrium, and you never know when Santa himself may make a surprise appearance. You’ll also find a number of holiday-themed souvenirs and Disney memorabilia on these sailings, including everything from popcorn buckets to Christmas ornaments.
I hope this helps you plan out your
packing list and builds even more excitement for the magic that awaits. If any other questions float up before you set sail, don’t hesitate to visit us again here at
planDisney.
Bon voyage!
