Hi there, Donna, and welcome back to planDisney!
The beauty of living in the Sunshine State is that we’re always so close to tapping into the magic. And those on-property hotel stays make visiting our Happy Place even sweeter. It’s my pleasure to talk about my annual pass experience with you.
Undated theme park tickets and
annual passes (which are essentially undated) need a valid theme park reservation, even if the holders are staying at a Disney World hotel. The only exception is if the specific date is a “Good-To-Go” day. This is indicated by a green-circled date on the
Admissions & Blockout Calendar. In that case, your friends can simply enter the theme park without prep (of course, on a day that they are not blocked out).
As an Annual Passholder, when making on-site staycation
park reservations, I’m given an option to make them as a Resort hotel guest or if I want to use one of my Sorcerer annual pass’s reservations. This means that if I’ve used my pass’s max of 5 reservation holds, I can still commit to even more days of fun because of my hotel booking.
AN EXTRA GEM: The Dolphin is one of the few additional hotels that are included in the Deluxe Resort hotels-exclusive
Extended Evening Hours. So, depending on the dates of your trip, get ready to have the time of your life exploring some of the theme parks after dark. And don’t forget Early Theme Park Entry, which gets you into the theme parks up to 30 minutes before the general public.
Donna, I hope that you have an amazing trip with your friends! I have a feeling that your vacation this month will be your best trip yet. If you have any other Disney vacation planning questions,
give us a holler here at planDisney.
Magic always,
LeAndra
