Hiya Joela,
Welcome to planDisney, and boo to you! I don't know which I love more: Halloween or Christmas at Walt Disney World Resort. Imagineers make each holiday so special with themed snacks, decorations, and incredible special events, so I can't choose between them.
Speaking of special offerings, Mickey's Boo-to-You Halloween Parade is one of my favorite parades. I always love watching the Gravediggers make sparks with their shovels and the incredible costuming. This parade and entertainment, such as Disney's Not-So-Spooky Spectacular and the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular, are specially reserved for
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. This separately ticketed event also includes shorter wait times at
Magic Kingdom for attractions during the event, trick-or-treating, and access to
event-only snacks. Unfortunately, without a party ticket, you are not able to take advantage of these event exclusives, and Magic Kingdom will also close to Guests without party tickets at 6 pm EST.
I hope this was helpful, Joela, and gives you the information you need for your upcoming trip. Before I let you go, I wanted to let you know that even if you decide not to add a party to your itinerary, you can still experience some Halloween magic during your trip. The decorations for the party will still be out during the day, and there will be Halloween treat offerings at the various resorts so you can still get a little taste of the magic. Be sure to check out the
Disney Parks Blog before your trip when they release the Halloween Foodie Guide and more information about the spooky season; this will help you get a sense of what is available no matter if you decide to do Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party or not. If there's anything else we can do to assist you here at planDisney, please don't hesitate to let us know. There is always room for one more question!
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
