Welcome to planDisney! When planning your visit to “The Most Magical Place on Earth,” you’ll find so many ticket options that it can actually feel a bit overwhelming. I’m happy to break out my magic wand and help you choose the theme park tickets to make all your vacation dreams come true!
Derik, the
base tickets for Walt Disney World Resort allow you to enter one of the four main theme parks (Magic Kingdom Park, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, or Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park) for each day that you purchase. You can select how many days of admission you would like to purchase and choose a start date. Your
tickets will have a usage window, so you don’t need to use them on consecutive days. When we plan our vacations, I like to build a non-park day into the middle of our stay to enjoy our resort and areas outside of the parks, like
Disney Springs!
After deciding how many days of tickets you would like to purchase, you can add options to them. The
Park Hopper option allows you to enter multiple parks per day, and the Water Park and Sports option adds fun extras like
water park visits, miniature golf, and more! You can choose to add one of these, both of these (the Park Hopper Plus option), or neither, giving you the ultimate flexibility when planning your trip. If our family is visiting for less than 4 days, we often add the Park Hopper option to enjoy all 4 parks, but on longer stays, we typically save money by purchasing just the base ticket.
If you purchase your tickets directly on the Walt Disney World Resort website while logged in to your MyDisney account, they will be automatically linked to your My Disney Experience. When it’s time to enter the parks, you can use either a
MagicBand+,
Disney MagicMobile Service, or a Key to the World card to tap into the fun! Don’t forget that you can also book a stay at a
Disney Resorts Collection Hotel to secure the
Magical Extras that come with a vacation package and unlock the ability to
add a dining plan if you’d like! You'll also be able to take advantage of
exclusive resort benefits such as
Early Theme Park Entry and advanced purchase windows for your
Lightning Lane passes.
