Wow, you are truly a Walt Disney World MVP. I can only imagine the amazing memories you have collected over so many visits. I am thrilled that you are thinking about a trip to the original Disney park. I have visited Walt Disney World many times myself, but
Disneyland Resort holds a special place in my heart. Since it is Walt’s original park, I really do feel his presence when I am there, and I will share a few ways you can feel that magic too. But first, let’s make sure you get the answer you came for, because we all love a great deal.
I have two easy tips to help you stay in the loop on offers. First, make sure you are signed up for email communications through your Disneyland Account. Log in to your Disney Account, the same one you use for your My Disney Experience, on the Disneyland website. Head to the
My Disneyland tab, click on your Profile, then choose Manage MyDisney Account. Scroll down to Manage My Email Subscriptions. From there, you can choose the types of messages you want to receive. At the bottom, you will find a box you can check for updates, special offers, and other helpful information. The moment a new deal is announced, it will be sent straight to your inbox. My next recommendation is to check the
Disney Parks Blog often. It is my go-to place for updates, special events, new merchandise, and especially deals. You can search by keyword or by park, which makes planning even easier.
In September,
Halloween Time at Disneyland Resort will be in full swing! You will find special overlays, spooky decor, seasonal treats, and my personal favorite, the separately ticketed Oogie Boogie Bash. I took a look at the calendar and you happen to be visiting during two of the event dates. That means two chances to meet your favorite Villains, collect the tastiest treats, and enjoy the Frightfully Fun Parade. I attended this past year and as someone who loves dressing up, the party was a major highlight of my visit!
Now for the magic I promised. If you have not watched
Disneyland Handcrafted on Disney Plus yet, I highly recommend it. Hearing Walt talk about his dreams and seeing how they were brought to life feels incredibly special. That moment when you walk into Disneyland Park for the first time and see his original ideas still shining is something you never forget. Be sure to visit the Main Street Opera House to watch
Walt Disney - A Magical Life. His storytelling and the heartfelt ending make you feel like he is right beside you as you step back onto Main Street, U.S.A. And one more little touch of magic. Visit the Disneyland Fire Department and look up at the window above the sign. You will see a lamp in Walt and Lillian’s apartment. Walt kept it lit whenever he was in the park. Take a look and see what you feel. You might just sense him enjoying his park the way he always did.
