I am trying to book a vacation package for a group of 8 for June 2026. We are not DVC members, but want to book Bay Lake Tower 2 bdrm villa. I do not see availability on the website. Do you know when availability will open for non DVC members? Thanks!

    Hi Holly!

Welcome to planDisney, and thanks so much for your question. While Maryland might be best known for “Crabcakes and Football,” I have to say that my fellow Marylander panelist pals, Kristi R. and Betsy S., have helped put the Old Line State on the map for something else, too... seriously stellar Walt Disney World vacation planning!

Now, let’s get into your question about booking a Bay Lake Tower 2-Bedroom Villa for your group of eight in June 2026. Since you're not a Disney Vacation Club Member, it’s important to understand how booking windows work for these villa-style accommodations. DVC Members can book their home resort up to 11 months in advance, and any other DVC resort up to 7 months ahead. Because of this, Disney generally opens up availability for non-members, paying cash, after these member-exclusive windows have passed. That typically means around the six-month mark before check-in.

So, for a June 2026 trip, I’d recommend starting to keep an eye on the Walt Disney World website around December 2025. That’s usually when you’ll begin to see some of those deluxe villa accommodations start to appear for non-members. To play it safe, I’d even suggest checking in periodically this fall, just in case a little pixie dust brings some options online earlier than expected.

That said, availability at Bay Lake Tower (especially those spacious 2-Bedroom Villas) can be competitive, and there’s no guarantee it’ll pop up exactly when you're ready to book. So here’s my tip: have a backup plan ready to go, so you’re swinging into action like Tarzan through the jungle, not scrambling at the last minute. I’d recommend taking a look at Disney’s BoardWalk Villas or Disney’s Beach Club Villas—you’ll love the walking access to both EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. If proximity to Magic Kingdom is your top priority, then The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa are just a peaceful stroll away along the path bordering Seven Seas Lagoon.

I hope this helps guide your next steps, Holly! If you need help narrowing down resort choices, figuring out the best room type for your group, or planning a daily itinerary once you’ve locked in those dates, don’t hesitate to swing back by. I’d be more than happy to help!

Your pal from the land of pleasant living,
    Brent
