Hi David,
Thank you for bringing your question to planDisney! This sounds like a wonderful family vacation, and I’m happy to help you start planning.
With a group of 18 people, you’ll need to split into at least two rooms. You can
book multiple rooms through the Walt Disney World website, or call a Cast Member at the "
Tickets and Hotel Reservations” number for assistance.
Since you mentioned you’re a veteran, I want to bring your attention to the
Special Offers page on the Walt Disney World website. In 2026, active or retired US military personnel can
save on rooms at select Disney Resort hotels. You will need to call in to book your reservation with this offer. This offer can also be combined with the
Free Dining Plan Offer for Kids in 2026, which sounds like a great deal for your large travel party! Eligible service members can also purchase specially priced
Disney Military Salute Tickets or Disney Celebrates America Military Salute Tickets; however, no more than a total of six tickets may be purchased by the Eligible Service Member or their spouse.
You might also want to check your
eligibility for Shades of Green Resort. You’ll still need more than one room, but each eligible sponsor can book up to three rooms under their name. The
Shades of Green Ticket Office can also help you purchase the Disney Military Promotional Tickets through their ticket ordering form.
Don’t forget to purchase
Memory Maker at the special price for Eligible Service Members. This can be purchased at a theme park ticket window for the special price of $98, subject to change. This is a great deal for capturing all the special moments from your family vacation at Walt Disney World!
I hope this helps you get started, David. I hope you’re able to take advantage of some of these offers to make your Disney vacation the best trip ever! Please come back to see us at
planDisney if you have any more questions as you continue planning your upcoming vacation.
Kaitlin
