Two families travelling together to Disneyland- wondering about linking tickets when in the park. Can the moms each have the whole groups tickets on their app or just one person? Want to enable group booking but also have the ability to separate if needed.

    Hey Nikki!

Thanks so much for coming by planDisney with your question. We've been seeing so many Guests traveling with groups of family and friends this season, so you have come to the right place! You are going to love making magical memories together. We went on a Disney Cruise last summer with our best friends, and we still pinch ourselves that it even happened!

Happy to report that both Moms can link the full set of tickets to their account so that they can both make plans and Lightning Lane selections for the group or go their separate ways. I'll walk you through the steps to link everyone together, but I also wanted to share a few notes. I spoke with a Cast Member who mentioned that you can only book Lightning Lanes for up to 10 Guests at one time. If your party happens to have more than 10, I would recommend splitting the group in half and having each Mom make the selection at the same time. I have done this with larger groups and generally, you will receive the same return window or one that is within 10-15 minutes so you can easily ride together.

I prefer to link tickets with friends and family via the Disneyland App. You'll both want to have it downloaded and ready to go, logging in with your own account information. From here, you'll both head to the three-line icon in the bottom right-hand corner and select "My Tickets & Passes" where you will see all the tickets you are currently holding in your account. One Mom should stay here while the other taps the "+" in the top right-hand corner and chooses "Link Tickets & Passes". If you are physically together, I recommend using the "Camera" option where the linking Mom would scan the barcodes for each of the tickets in the other Mom's account. Once that's complete, repeat, trading places. If you are not together, each Mom should make a note of the ticket ID numbers found under the ticket barcodes. Send those to each other and this time choose "Type ID" to manually enter the ticket ID numbers. Once the linking is complete, head back to "My Tickets & Passes" and scroll left to make sure the full set is in both accounts. Are we good to go? I hope so!

Nikki, I hope this was helpful in getting all your Disneyland Ducks in a row! If you have any Jedis in your group, you are in luck. You are arriving just in time to experience Season of the Force! Along with some limited-time, galaxy-approved food and beverage offerings, you'll get to experience a new nightly projection show "Shadows of Memory: A Skywalker Saga", retelling some of the stories you know and love. I also heard Luke Skywalker himself may be making an appearance, so keep your eyes peeled!

If you have any more questions in your planning, we are always happy to help here at planDisney. Enjoy making those magical memories!
