I have two kids who qualify for DAS. Would each kid get an additional 4 members each or 4 total. We are a family of 10 and just wanted to plan ahead for lightening lanes we may need to purchase.

    Hey there, Sandy!

I’m so happy to welcome you to planDisney with your question about your upcoming summertime visit to Walt Disney World Resort! It sounds like you’ll be traveling with a big group, which always makes a Disney vacation feel even more special and exciting.

My family often visits as a multi-generational group, and when we travel together, there are usually 12 of us! While coordinating a larger party can sometimes take a little extra planning, it also makes for some of the best memories. There’s just something so fun about experiencing the parks together, sharing meals, laughing on attractions, and making memories with everyone you love, all in one place.

The way Disability Access Service (DAS) works is that each qualifying Guest can include up to three additional people in their party, making a total group of four per DAS return time.

Since both of your children have DAS, you would need to make a separate return time and party selection for each child within the My Disney Experience app. The good news is that you should be able to choose return times that either match exactly or overlap closely, allowing your groups to experience attractions together.

One thing I’d definitely recommend is making sure everyone in your travel party is linked to both of your children’s DAS profiles. That way, when selecting return times, it’ll be much easier to choose who will be riding with each child in their group. A Cast Member can help set this up during your live video chat registration appointment.

You can also stop by the Guest Experience Team during your visit if you have any questions or need assistance. You’ll find them throughout the four theme parks under the large blue umbrellas, and they’re always incredibly helpful!

Sandy, I hope this helps clear things up as you continue counting down to your trip! If any other questions pop up along the way, please know you’re always welcome to stop by and visit us again at planDisney.

    Magical Wishes,

    Kami
