G'day Kate! Welcome to planDisney!
Oh boy! I'm so excited to hear you're bringing your little sweethearts to experience the magic of Disneyland! If your little ones are anything like ours were, meeting Disney Pals, watching parades, and enjoying sweet treats will be the highlight of their visit to the Happiest Place on Earth. Your darling ones are going to love it!
I know it's so tricky when we have our heart set on beloved Disney Pals (Or attractions! Or shows!) and then the disappointment that comes with them not being available during our visit. I'm so sorry.
I have fond memories of singing and dancing at the Disney Junior Dance Party in California Adventure with my little ones, and we are bummed to see it go, too. But changes are what we have come to expect from this magical place we love that, like Walt Disney said, is always "moving forward, opening new doors, and doing new things." In my experience, Kate, the moment my family steps into the magic of Disneyland, we immediately forget about "that one special thing" we were sad to see go, because we are completely immersed in the wonder of it all.
At this time, it is unclear if a new show will replace the Disney Jr. Dance Party or where Doc McStuffins may show up next, but we never know what's around the riverbend! So, Kate, I would keep your eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for any potential announcements of new shows, as well as continue to
check the Disneyland website for updates.
Luckily, in the meantime, there are many other beloved Disney Pals available all over the parks ready to give hugs and waves to your two little girls. Search the
Disneyland app by selecting "Characters" at the top of the park map to find them! I'll keep my fingers crossed that, with a little pixie dust, the dreams that you wish will indeed come true.
One reason why the Disney Junior Dance Party may have needed to say "goodbye" is because Disneyland Resort is gearing up for its
70th Celebration beginning May 16, 2025, which you'll be there for Kate! When Walt Disney dreamed up Disneyland those seven decades ago, he imagined a place where adults and children could enjoy the magic together - and I have no doubt that will be your experience with your little ones! With limited-time entertainment, including the return of fan-favorite
Paint the Night Parade to be coming down Main Street very soon! It's going to be so magical, and I think your girls will be dazzled.
Though I may not have given the answer you were hoping for, Kate, I hope the information was helpful! More than anything, I wish you and your girls the most magical visit!
