My two sons have been booked to build a lightsaber at Savi’s workshop. Is it possible to have them shipped back to the U.K. - if so what is the cost of this?

Hello there, Seb! Welcome to planDisney. Getting your precious cargo home from Black Spire Outpost is definitely a high-priority mission, so I’m really glad you reached out to us for help.

I connected with Aryana, a helpful Cast Member, who confirmed that, unfortunately, lightsabers purchased at Savi’s Workshop can only be shipped to domestic U.S. addresses through USPS. I know that’s not the news you were hoping to hear. If you’d like to send your sons’ lightsabers internationally, you would need to explore nearby third-party shipping services like UPS or FedEx in the Anaheim area to coordinate the delivery to your home.

I do have an alternate suggestion that might help make the return trip a little smoother. Once your build is complete, the blade and hilt can be separated, making it much easier to stow the saber in your luggage. The blade is a standard 31 inches long, while the length of the hilt will depend on the components your young Jedi chooses during the customization process. (They’ll get to select from a range of sleeves, emitters, pommel caps, and activation plates.) Typically, a completed hilt ranges from 10 to 13 inches. As a lightsaber builder myself, I can tell you the full saber, once disassembled and placed in the included carrying case, measures around 50 inches. These dimensions might come in handy as you plan your packing strategy for the journey home.

If your family is hoping to collect more Star Wars treasures during your visit, be sure to stop by Dok-Ondar's Den of Antiquities. This legendary Ithorian’s shop is filled with rare artifacts from across the galaxy, some with stories so wild, even the cantina regulars would raise an eyebrow. You’ll often find a rotating selection of legacy lightsabers once wielded by iconic Star Wars figures. And here’s a little Q-Tip: look up! Dok-Ondar has stashed some clever Easter eggs in the upper alcove, including a tribute to the galaxy’s most famous Gungan.

I hope this helps you feel more prepared for your visit to Black Spire Outpost, Seb! If you need anything else, just send a transmission to me or one of my fellow panelists.

May the Force be with you…always.
