Hi Jackie!
It's so nice to see you back here at planDisney, planning a visit to the Happiest Place on Earth! There's nothing quite like ending a Disneyland day with a nighttime spectacular. I completely understand wanting a comfortable way to experience these shows, so let's take a look at your question together.
Fantasmic! is a classic Disneyland nighttime spectacular, and a must-see for many Guests! It sounds like you have done your research to discover that the
Premium Dining Package at River Belle Terrace is the only option that includes seats. All other dining packages include vouchers for a preferred viewing area where Guests would stand or sit on the ground. As you can imagine, it is one of the more popular dining events and does tend to fill up quickly when reservations open.
I did a bit more digging around availability, and one of the issues you may be facing is that
Fantasmic! is currently only showing on weekends, Friday through Sunday. Your November 12th visit falls on a Wednesday, so unfortunately, there is no show scheduled for that evening. I'm so sorry, Jackie, I'm sure that is not the news you were hoping to hear! If you happen to be staying a few days, you could look at availability starting Friday, November 14th. I took a quick peek, and while I didn't see any Premium Dining Package availability, I'd recommend that you keep checking. Guests are always changing their plans, and reservations can sometimes open up! If you have your heart set on it, you could also make your way over to the restaurant when it opens for dinner and ask a Cast Member if they happen to have any last-minute same-day availability. There is no guarantee in this situation, but it doesn't hurt to ask in case some pixie dust opens up a table for you.
Another option for you, if you have Park Hoppers, is to look at availability for the
World of Color Happiness! Dessert Party. Guests are seated at tables for this experience and for the duration of the show while they snack on some sweet and savory treats, including unlimited sodas, tea, coffee, and hot chocolate or one specialty cocktail! This is also a popular event, so while it is currently showing as booked for November 12th, there is a 24-hour cancellation policy. I would encourage you to continue to check for reservations, especially the day before your visit, which is when Guests would typically finalize their plans, and you may see some movement in availability.
Jackie, I know this wasn't the most pixie-dusted news, but I do hope it was helpful in your planning. There are a few touches of the limited-time 70th Anniversary festivities that are happening next week that may give you a taste of nighttime delight without having to stand for long periods of time. I truly love
Tapestry of Happiness at "it's a small world". It's a projection show and a delightful journey through 70 years of magic. What I love about this option is that the show itself is not very long, and you do not have to arrive early to grab a good spot. You could walk up just a few minutes beforehand to enjoy it! It runs a few times each evening, so be sure to check the entertainment schedule when you arrive. You could also choose to enjoy the
Wondrous Journeys projection show on Sleeping Beauty Castle that evening!
Thanks for stopping by planDisney! I'm wishing you a magical visit!
