Are there any updated vacation planning videos like the ones Disney used to send to my parents on VHS? I would watch those for hours on end and we are taking my nephews who have no idea what Disney World is and I want to show them a video, not an old one.

    Hey there, Jordan!

I'm truly delighted to welcome you to planDisney, and what a fun question you've brought our way! I absolutely love that you're planning a Walt Disney World vacation with your nephews. There's nothing quite as magical as watching little ones take in Disney for the very first time – their joy, their wide-eyed wonder, all of it. You're about to share moments with them that they'll remember forever, and that's such a beautiful gift. This trip is going to create the kind of memories that you'll carry with you for a lifetime.

Your question instantly brought me back to my own childhood. I have such vivid memories of sitting with my brother, watching those Disney World planning VHS tapes over and over again. Even now, I can feel that same excitement we felt of knowing we were getting ready to visit the place where dreams really do come true...it all comes rushing back. So I completely understand you wanting your nephews to experience that same sense of wonder. While Disney no longer sends out those classic planning videos, I've gathered a few alternative ideas that I think will bring that same magic to life for them.

To kick things off, you might be surprised to learn that the planDisney website has its very own collection of planning videos. You'll find everything from tips on the best attractions for younger kids to overviews of EPCOT's festivals, resort day suggestions, and so much more. And the best part? We're constantly updating and expanding the library, so it's always worth checking back to see what's new!

Another fantastic resource is the Disney Parks YouTube channel. With more than 2,000 videos covering an incredible variety of topics, there's truly something for everyone to enjoy. You can even find a point-of-view video of Disney's newest nighttime parade, Starlight

I'd also recommend checking out the planDisney Instagram page. As panelists, we are real Disney Guests just like you, and we love giving our personal take on all the latest happenings and experiences throughout the parks.

And lastly, if you have a Disney+ subscription, you're in for something special. There are so many wonderful park-related documentaries to explore. Some of my personal favorites are Destination: Walt Disney World, Behind the Attraction, and Magic of Disney's Animal Kingdom. The Imagineering Story is incredible as well, though it might be a bit slower for your nephews depending on their ages. But it's definitely a must-watch for you!

Jordan, I truly hope these ideas help as you introduce your nephews to the whole new world that is the Most Magical Place on Earth! If any other questions pop up while you plan this exciting adventure, please don't hesitate to visit us again at planDisney!

    Magic Awaits,
