Hey There, Hi There, Ho There, Meredith!
You are as welcome as can be here at planDisney! Thank you so much for stopping by with your question. How exciting that you are planning ahead for your magical Disney vacation. As a Disney Vacation Club Member for the last 22 years, I know how much the home-like amenities of a Disney Vacation Club Resort stay can really help you maximize the magic of your vacation.
Meredith, I double-checked with Guest Services to confirm. In order not to impact your Advance Dining Reservations, what you want to do is wait to cancel the
Pop Century reservation until AFTER you book your
Disney Vacation Club Resort stay. The ability to book
Advance Dining Reservations or Enchanting Extras beginning 60 days from your Resort check-in date for the entirety of your stay up to 10 days, is dependent on having a Resort stay. The actual Resort doesn't matter, and the Advance Dining Reservations are not tied to that specific Resort. But they are tied to having a Disney Resort Hotel booked. So, if you cancel Pop Century before booking the Disney Vacation Club Resort, it could impact your Dining Reservations.
But the Cast Member I spoke with confirmed that as long as you have both resort stays booked and linked to your account, and both reservations are within that 60-day window, then you shouldn't have a problem with those dining reservations. Once you have both booked and are sure they are connected to your My Disney Experience account, then go ahead and cancel the Pop Century reservation.
I hope this helps you, Meredith! If you have any further Disney Vacation Club questions, soar back here to see me and I'll be so happy to help you.
See ya real soon!
Keri
