Welcome to planDisney! It sounds like you may have snagged a
Spice Road Table Fireworks Dining Package for your upcoming trip, which is super exciting! I absolutely loved that experience on a recent trip.
When I dined at
Spice Road Table during
Luminous, I was lucky enough to be seated right next to the railing. But to be honest, I don’t know exactly how they decide who is seated where. I will say that we were not the first party to check in, since we were running a little late. And I did notice that a lot of the tables up against the railing were for parties of 4 when I was there. Of course, I’m sure this is subject to change.
The good news is that, no matter where you’re seated, you’ll still have a great view of the fireworks, as the total seating area is not very big. It’s such a bonus that it’s a covered area, too. That way, if it happens to be a little rainy, you’ll still be comfortable watching the show.
I do recommend checking in as early as possible, though (learn from my mistake!). And when you check in, I figure it never hurts to politely ask if a specific seating request can be made. As a part of the Fireworks Dining Package, you can check in up to 60 minutes before the fireworks. Checking in as close to that time as possible will give you plenty of time to enjoy your meal, then be able to watch the show without having to worry about eating.
