Hi Cass! Thanks for stopping by planDisney!
I'm excited to hear about your upcoming visit to
Disney's Art of Animation Resort! This has been a family favorite of ours for quite some time, mostly for the amazing theming that it offers. Walking around and seeing the various Disney landscapes of classic Disney movies is what separates this resort from others. It's incredibly immersive and great for little ones.
When staying in the
Little Mermaid Standard Room, you will end up with either two queen beds or one king bed. You can certainly request a king bed, although these requests are not guaranteed. You can start by
calling the Disney Resort Hotel Reservations line and speaking to a Cast Member for assistance. They will note this request on your reservation. Once it comes time to assign your room, they will do their best to honor all requests for that day.
Another highlight of staying at this resort is having direct access to the
Disney Skyliner. This mode of transportation takes you quickly to two of the four theme parks and many other Disney Resorts hotels. It's our favorite way to travel when staying on-site and arguably the most fun. I typically try to stay at a resort along its path as often as I can.
Cass, you'll also be arriving in plenty of time to enjoy the
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival. Between the creative topiaries, beautiful flower displays, and delicious Outdoor Kitchens, there is plenty to enjoy when visiting this event!
I hope you have a magical time! See ya real soon!
