Ahoy there, Hannah! Welcome aboard planDisney! Thanks for sailing my way with your question!
As a dad with a little one whose Disney Cruise Line vacations start with a flight from the middle of the country, I know all about the "should we or shouldn't we..." discussions about strollers and car seats!
Since you've made the planDrew-approved choice to book
Disney Cruise Line Ground Transportation for your trip, I'm pleased to say that you can leave the car seat at home for your little sailor! Since your transfers to Port Canaveral will be in the form of a motorcoach, you're able to hold them the entire way to the ship, much like you would as a lap child on a plane ride!
When my family sailed on the
Disney Wish earlier this year, our son actually fell asleep in our arms during the ride to the port! Whether that was a bit of "Disney Magic" or just luck, we loved being able to just hold him as we let Disney do the driving! Even better, he woke up just in time to see us pull up to the ship!
I hope that helps you check this off your list - and free-up major space for your crew in your stateroom! Thank you so much for your question, Hannah, and if you have any others as your sailing gets closer, please drop us another line here at planDisney!
Fair winds, following seas, and safe travels!
Andrew
