Hi I am wondering if my party of 5 adults, 1 child aged 6 and two infants would be able to stay at an art of animation family suite

Hi Katie, and welcome to planDisney! Art of Animation is such a fun place to stay, where you’re transported right into the middle of some of our favorite movies, like The Lion King and Finding Nemo. I’d be happy to chat about a few different room options for your crew!

First, let’s talk about the Family Suites. I just chatted with a Cast Member who confirmed that only one infant is allowed over the standard room occupancy. For the Art of Animation Family Suites, that means up to six people three years of age or older, plus one infant under the age of three.

Alternatively, you could book two standard rooms at Art of Animation, which are themed to The Little Mermaid! And then you can add a request for connecting rooms by calling the Tickets and Hotel Reservations phone number or using Chat on the Disney World website. While room requests aren’t guaranteed, Cast Members will try their best to grant your wish!

However, I totally understand wanting a bit more space when you’re traveling with so many people! There’s another option that I love for trips with my extended family, and that’s the 2 Bedroom Villas at Deluxe Villa Resorts. These villas have two separate bedrooms, two to three bathrooms, a living room, a full kitchen, and even a washer and dryer (this is always a lifesaver when I’m traveling with my toddler nephew!). It’s really nice to have space where you can hang out together away from the hustle and bustle of the theme parks. And it’s the perfect setup for traveling with little ones since the adults can hang out in the living room at night while the kiddos are asleep in the bedrooms.

There are so many Deluxe Villa Resorts to choose from, but some of my family’s favorites are Copper Creek Villas & Cabins (a relaxing oasis just a short boat ride away from Magic Kingdom) and Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village (right on a savanna with zebras and other animals!).

One last thing I wanted to mention before I go. All four theme parks have Baby Care Centers, which you can swing by if you’re looking for a quiet space for your little ones. You’ll find rocking or gliding chairs, a changing room with tables, a feeding area with high chairs, and a kitchenette with a microwave and sink. And if you forget something in the room, the Baby Care Centers also sell essentials like baby food, diapers, and wipes.

I hope you find the practically perfect resort hotel for your crew and have the most magical time at Disney World! If you have any other questions, you’re always welcome back at planDisney.
