Hey Miranda,
Welcome to planDisney! Planning a Walt Disney World Resort vacation might be one of my favorite pastimes - you're speaking my language! I know that tackling the plans can feel overwhelming at first, but I know from experience that it's easier than it looks. You've got this!
The first thing you'll want to do is think about when you'll want to visit. Is there an EPCOT festival you're hoping to experience? Perhaps there's a new attraction or show that you have your heart set on? Choose your vacation dates to ensure that you'll see all the attractions and shows you've got your eye on. Keeping up with the
Disney Parks Blog has been my secret weapon when it comes to staying informed on what's happening in the Disney theme parks. Before you start booking, be sure to check the
Special Offers, Deals & Discounts page - this might help you make that critical decision on when to visit, too. Then you should decide where to stay - choose from
over 20 resort hotels located within the magic. Consider the resort location, transportation options, and your budget to make the best decision for you and your family. From there, decide how many park days you'd like to add to your package and add your tickets.
Once you've booked the basics, you'll want to consider add-ons such as a
Disney Dining Plan which allows you to prepay for your vacation meals and snacks (making your vacation feel like more of an all-inclusive experience), and
Lightning Lane passes which save you time in the traditional standby queue. There are even experiences you can add from the
Enchanting Extras Collection that might be of interest. Do your research on these options - Lightning Lane passes can't be purchased until 7 days prior to your arrival date and a Dining Plan can be added later on, so you have time.
Finally, Miranda if you still feel unsure about tackling this yourself, no worries! You can always either book a vacation package by
calling the Disney World resort and speaking with a cast member or searching the internet for a Disney-authorized vacation planner. I hope this information is helpful. If you need more planning help, swing by planDisney any time. We're happy to help. We'll see ya real soon!
Your pal,
Sakinah
